Story Jars
A story jar is a keepsake jar that makes a wonderful gift for an engaged couple, newlyweds, parents or any people embarking on an adventure. Some brides have given them to all the members of their wedding party and some grandmothers have a line of them - one with the name of each grandchild.

A story jar can be left on the counter where it
is easy to see and add to. Unlike baby books and diaries, it doesn't get
buried and forgotten. In my story jar there are slips of paper
with reminders of events that I wouldn't want to forget. There are notes
left by children, photos with notes and someone's baby tooth.
Stories based on notes from our story jar were published for two years at www.cubapatriot.com under the heading of jokes and columns. Some old copies are still there. Technology moves ahead - I have started keeping a blog of our travels and have been adding the Story Jar columns to it with photos included - keylesspiano.blogspot.com. |
Your jar can be labeled "Story Jar" or something such as Jay's Stories, Mickey & Jennifer, or Memories. This one is shown in oatmeal with blue stamped lettering. They are also available with handwritten words and in the colors of green or pink.
Story Jars are between six and eight inches tall.
